About Kaapsehoop Adventures

Our Story

Who Are We?

Nestled deep in the forests, you will find stunning views across the valley.

Kaapsehoop Adventures is a rustic establishment with 5 separate bedrooms, communal ablutions and a well equipped kitchen. Off the grid, we make use of solar, fire and gas as alternate energy sources. A proper backpackers in Kaapsehoop.

A great venue for family gatherings, team building and intimate weddings.

An excellent base to the region with lots of activities available. Hikes to nearby dams, waterfalls, excursions to old caves and mines, horse riding, mountain bike trails, and bird watching. For the less active, stay at the camp, enjoy the view, the tranquillity and recharge those batteries away from the rat race. Sunset and sunrise tours with a picnic basket are available on request.

Tours to Adam’s Calendar (South Africa’s own Stonehenge recently discovered in 2004) can also be arranged.

Located just 10 kilometres from the quaint village of Kaapsehoop, the venue is a good fit for groups, offering a package of comfortable and affordable accommodation, and outdoor adventure. But smaller groups, couples and individuals are also welcome!

The venue can accommodate 20 people, special rates are available for group bookings and longer stays.

Two of our rooms have fireplaces, charming for those chilly winter evenings. We have a sheltered boma with a firepit for cosy chit chat whilst the braai is being lit. Or let down the blinds to keep the wind out and play some board games….

Communal areas are serviced daily. The kitchen has cooking and refrigeration facilities.

Firewood is for sale, for braai purposes and bonfires. Parking is easily accessible to the rooms.

Guests will be greeted by the hosts, Pierre and Sharon. Our camp manager, Alfred, is always on hand to attend to any requests.

A true nature lovers paradise, come as a guest and leave as a friend.
